International Gay & Lesbian Human Rights Commission:

Join the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC), Iranian Queers Organization (IRQO) and COC Netherlands in calling on Iranian authorities to stop the numerous executions of minors and adults accused of sodomy. Also join us in calling on Western countries with significant diplomatic and economic ties to Iran, including Germany, France, Canada, as well as the European Union, to pursue diplomatic efforts to cease these executions.

Use our electronic system below to send a letter in English to the foreign officials and another letter in Persian to Iranian officials. .. continue reading ..

Vor wenigen Tagen hat Iran Queer Railroad (IRQR) einen Hilferuf veröffentlicht:

We request your assistance with an urgent case involving Mehdi N., a 29-year-old gay Iranian who seeks asylum in Germany.

3. Was soll die Richterschelte? .. continue reading ..

My first contact with Alireza J., a young Iranian guy, was in July this year. I was planning to write an article about the situation of the asylum seekers from Iran in the UK who fled their country because of the threat they suffer from the regime due to their sexuality. Before meeting Alireza in person, we had several chats over the phone. In all occasions he sounded really sad, deeply depressed and hopeless about getting his asylum approved, as he applied for it almost three years ago, when he arrived in England, and despite all the proof he has about the real threat for his life in case he is sent back to Iran, he had his asylum denied twice. When Alireza had his appeal denied by the court (two months after he had arrived in England), he was deprived from the financial support given to all asylum seekers by Home Office (accommodation and some money), and after that he had to live for almost 18 months on the streets, both in London and in Peterborough. Alireza told me that apart from the cold weather, the lack of food and all the basic things one needs to live properly, what he most feel sad for about that time was the fact he prostitute himself: he had sex with few English men for five, ten pounds, to have some money to eat and live. .. continue reading ..

Protestschreiben bringen doch nichts! Oder?

Nun aber der Hammer:

Greetings from IRanian Queer Organization:

We informed you last week of the happy news that Kamal was officially recognized as a refugee by United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). Unfortunately, we cannot offer you news of the same nature with respect to his partner, Reza. On July 22, 2008, UNHCR rejected Reza’s case (385-06C03012), denying him official recognition as a refugee. .. continue reading ..

“A few weeks ago, I received an email with the subject “I’m lonely, help me.” The sender was about 40 years old, and he was truly lonely. He’s been hiding his sexuality for years and has been under extreme social pressure. His family insists that he get married, and he no longer has any excuse to escape this pressure. He was just looking to find someone who would listen to him. He just wanted to vent to me. He was utterly hopeless and one of his wishes was to die so that he doesn’t have to face these challenges. .. continue reading ..
