Zum – soweit ersichtlich – ersten Mal hat sich eine deutsche Botschaft allgemein für die Belange schwuler Menschen in Ausland eingesetzt.

Die deutsche Botschaft hat zusammen mit den Botschaften anderer Staaten eine Presseerklärung unterzeichnet:

On the occasion of the 2009 Budapest Pride Festival, we express our support for, and solidarity with, the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities in Hungary. Dear Friends, 

Feew weeks ago was a scandal in polish city KRAKOW. Official Buro of promotion of Krakow  send information that they will start promotion of Krakow in world gay comunity (they will do speciall gay ads). After this information, right wings member of the City Council attacked director of this buro in media. This killed the project. For right wings, and other conservativs KRAKOW is a simbol of polish catholisim, they say on Krakow “city of Pope” (John Poul II)  and they want to keep it this way.
